Artificial Intelligence is a discipline concerned the development and application of intelligent systems possessing abilities such as learning, reasoning and collaborating. These abilities play an important role in understanding what it means to be intelligent, and in solving challenging problems of modern society. Intelligent systems apply learning, reasoning and collaborating to perform tasks more efficient, more optimal, or in a distributed way. Applications areas range from planning and diagnosis to image recognition, from traditional games such as chess to modern interactive computer games, and from information retrieval to data-mining.
